Data Engineer

In the data practice, most of the value comes from the foundation rather than the model. This role is about the foundation.

You will work with real, messy data from systems never designed for analysis, and build the pipelines that turn it into information people can trust.

Responsibilities

• Building data ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Defining and implementing automated data quality tests
• Modelling the data warehouse together with the business team
• Monitoring data freshness and correctness in production

Requirements

• At least four years of data engineering experience
• Advanced SQL and an understanding of execution plans
• Experience with an orchestration tool (Airflow, Dagster or equivalent)
• Production-level Python

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt
• Knowledge of ClickHouse or another columnar analytical store
• Experience on projects with compliance requirements
